KCCU was founded and established in 2018 by Mr Peter Kiabi who through his life up bringing as an orphan, had made his education not a forth coming dream had it not been the support of various people. Peter was compassionate of helping the vulnerable even when he did not have a lot. He believes that “Giving is Sharing” and by so doing, you help someone realize their dream that would have been aborted before maturity.
He noticed the growing number of vulnerable children being orphaned due to HIV pandemic, Children infected with HIV, needy and also the increased number of teenage mothers who had given birth at early ages of 14 years.
The high level of Girl child school dropout due to lack of school fees, dangerous traditions and cultural practices that exposed them to dangers of child labor, heavy domestic work, sexual abuse, teenage pregnancies, forced marriages, early marriages and the like.
