The goal of KCCU is to make Christ’s love visible by helping to improve the living standard of the vulnerable communities through reliable educational services, health services, skills empowerment and modern agriculture practices that will lead to improved livelihood and development.

Our Strategy

A sustainable strategy is devised to achieve the maximum, a need based and right based approach initiated ascertains the problem with fully community involvement and mobilizing all indigenous and local resources. The program goal is materialized with a helping hand from members donor agencies and Philanthropists.

Background

KCCU was founded and established in 2018 by Mr Peter Kiabi who through his life up bringing as an orphan, had made his education not a forth coming dream had it not been the support of various people. Peter was compassionate of helping the vulnerable even when he did not have a lot. He believes that “Giving is Sharing” and by so doing, you help someone realize their dream that would have been aborted before maturity.

He noticed the growing number of vulnerable children being orphaned due to HIV pandemic, Children infected with HIV, needy and also the increased number of teenage mothers who had given birth at early ages of 14 years.

The high level of Girl child school dropout due to lack of school fees, dangerous traditions and cultural practices that exposed them to dangers of child labor, heavy domestic work, sexual abuse, teenage pregnancies, forced marriages, early marriages and the like.

KCCU was later officially registered in 2019 by Mukono Municipal community Development authority in Mukono District and currently Registered as NGO by URSB and National NGO Bureau under Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Keilah Community Childcare Uganda (KCCU) is registered Not for profit NGO spreading the word of God by empowering, demonstrating compassion and restoring hope to the Orphans, the needy and other vulnerable children, though Education, Support the Youths and women through self-help skills training to raise house – hold income for the young people to become responsible and be self-reliant. We believe that single action can make a difference in the community and that collective action can greatly impact the world.

We Provide accessible and affordable education services, accessible medical services, Increase access to sexual and Reproductive Health services to the communities for improvement of livelihood. From the above the organization has got four thematic areas of Advocacy, Education, Health and wellness and Youth and women Empowerment.
